Objective
My goal with this piece was to model and render my own Beats headphones and create an advertisement around it. My first step in this was sketching out my object to understand what I would be modeling better. I also kept in mind what parts of the object I wanted to focus on the most within the time I had to complete it.
My Design Solution
My focus on this project was to display the elegant design of these headphones and show off the Beats brand as a luxury instead of just another headphone company. To achieve this, I put many hours into making the metallic logo shine with gold to give it its luxurious clean look. I also situated the camera and lights to draw the eye toward the branding and fine details of the model. For my advertisement, I made sure to stay on brand as much as possible so it would seem like a real Beats product. Brand identity is something so strong within the Beats company, so it was my top priority not to lose that.
Take Aways
If I were to revisit this project, I would like to spend more time cleaning up my model so that I could showcase it from different angles and environments. Since this was my first 3D model, I didn't know how to approach many obstacles, so I ended up spending a lot of time researching and trying different solutions. Another objective I want to try is to be more experimental with my advertisement. For example, I want to create more action in the scene with movement to capture the product's versatility. I learned a lot from this project and plan to push it even further going forward.
